Just Saw The New Batman–Again

August 10th, 2008  |  Published in Uncategorized

Well I just got back
home from seeing The Dark Knight
for the second time.

Don’t worry, I don’t have any spoilers
for those of you who are gonna see
this film.

And judging by what I’ve read it’s
gonna be a lot of you…This thing is
selling out all over.

Anyway, I was not disappointed with
this flick at all. It was really well
done…now keep in mind it is super
dark….grim, gritty.

This aint the 80’s or 90s Batman or heaven
forbid the 60s Batman. Now before I
get a ton of hatemail..I have nothing
against Adam West and that era’s Batman,

I just like the Dark Knight to be…well
Dark. Camp isn’t my thing.

So the big question is how was Heath Ledger?
Well, he pulled off the Joker perfectly.
He played a psychotic to a tee. And the Joker
is supposed to be a relentless psycho…not
some guy in tights prancing around playing
“jokes” on people.

Nope, this Joker is nuts. Remorseless and
cruel. And the late Mr Ledger
pulled it off. I was actually sad watching
the movie. The kid died too soon.

We originally saw it yesterday for the
first showing of the morning.
The crowds were much smaller and it was
nice to be able to check it out without
the annoying teenagers.

And that’s just one more great aspect
of not having a regular “job”
I can go catch a flick anytime.

I asked a lot of my friends if
they wanted to join me…and you
can guess the response. “No way, dude,
I can’t miss work.”

I said “Well so what? Just take the day off.
You hate that job anyway…Just call
in and make it a 3 day weekend.”

You can imagine how well that went
over. “Ohhh I just couldn’t possibly
leave my job….not even for one day.”

“What’ll happen?” I asked

Well the answer is nothing. The place
you work would continue to function if
you didn’t show up. I promise. No business
in the history of America has ever come
to a screeching halt because one person
didn’t show up.

Ever.

Unless of course you work
for yourself. Then you can choose to
make it come to a halt. Or not. What
if you made munny while you slept?
Or watched a movie?

It’s what I do and it’s what I
show others how to do. Step by step.

And I’m lazy…believe me. But I
make more munny goofing off than
my friends do at jobs they despise.

Discover what I already know.
And skip over the 10 years of
trials and errors that I had to
endure.
