The 600 Dollar Error

A new student called me yesterday.
He was in panic because his item was
bombing on ebay.
He had an item that should have been selling
for some big bucks. Or at least getting some
serious bids and views. But he listed it wrong.
See, he had just bought my DVD a couple
days before, and hadn’t gotten it yet. So
he didn’t know a lot of the stuff I teach.
He was enthusiastic to get started but
didn’t have all the knowledge.
So I jumped on Skype for some one on
one consultation. I took one look and told
him to cancel the item. He asked me if I
could just bid his item up for him.
Uh, no. That is a huge huge no-no and
will get you banned permanently on eBay.
Nope. You need to to end it and relist it I said.
In 3 days he only had 23 views, 2 bids and it was
up to 8 bucks. Not a good sign. Low dollars bids
are ok because most auctions “pop” at the
end. What concerned me was the low traffic
he had,
Now he has relisted it and it well on it’s way to
getting 500-600 buckaroos.
I love helping people do it right on eBay.

ebay you are leaving money of the table.
